— Ms. Xuraman, what would you like to tell our readers about yourself?

— A person always finds it difficult to introduce themselves.

Because life is not composed of facts alone—life is made up of emotions, goodwill, and at times, silent prayers.

For many years, I have built my life upon two fundamental principles: turning honesty into the philosophy of my existence in order to be of service to humanity, and remaining faithful to the word divinely instilled in my soul.

In my entrepreneurial activity, I have always endeavored to ensure that my work touches people’s health and lives; in literature, I have sought to illuminate the human soul through words.

Today, I am actively engaged in the literary environment of Azerbaijan and the broader Turkic world, striving to serve this sphere to the best of my ability. For me, this path is not one of titles or ranks, but a path of responsibility and conscience.

I continue my activities as a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union and the Writers’ Union of Turkey, and as an honorary member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.

For many years, expanding educational opportunities for Azerbaijani youth, supporting children with health challenges, and standing beside families in need of social care have held special significance for me. The attention given to the health of martyrs’ families and veterans at the “VIP Milan” Hospital that I lead is a modest expression of my duty to my homeland and to humanity.

Literature is a bond of the heart, the spiritual foundation of my life.

I participate, whenever possible, in literary and cultural projects across the Turkic world and strive to contribute to the work carried out in this field.

To date, ten of my books have been published, and my works have been presented to readers in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and other brotherly Turkic states.

The books I have dedicated to the statesmanship of President Ilham Aliyev are not merely the works of an author, but rather the expression of profound respect and deep gratitude I feel as a citizen toward the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

— You were interested in art, architecture, and painting from your school years. You received an education in architecture, yet your destiny led you into entrepreneurship.

How did this choice come about?

— In every person’s life, choice and destiny intersect at a certain point. My childhood dreams were connected to art and architecture.

However, life sometimes presents such trials that a person must preserve not only their own aspirations, but also what has been entrusted to them.

The untimely loss of my sister Ms.Sudabe Khanım, a respected woman of our community—became a profound shock in my life. Her unfinished dreams and unrealized aspirations gradually transformed into a responsibility within me. The steps I took toward entrepreneurship were an expression of both my own determination and my loyalty to her memory. I endeavored to ensure that her dreams would continue to live on.

— The “Lachin” and “Milan” Hospitals gained public trust in a short period of time. What was the secret behind this trust?

– I have never sought the secret of success in complicated things. The secret is simple: approaching people with sincerity.

When establishing the “Milan” Hospital, my aim was not merely to create a medical institution.

I wanted people to enter this place with hope and leave with confidence.

We have modern medical equipment and professional doctors here, but above all, there is compassion and conscience.

The special care shown to veterans of the Karabakh wars and to the families of martyrs is a moral duty for us.

To me, this is not just medical service, but a silent expression of loyalty to the homeland.

— Since 2021, your poems have met their readers. Is it difficult to balance entrepreneurship and poetry?

— If a person does what they love, difficulty never turns into exhaustion. Entrepreneurship has given me a sense of responsibility, the ability to make decisions, to pause, and to continue. Poetry, on the other hand, has preserved my soul.

For me, poetry is not merely a desk, lifeless paper, or a pen—it is my silent prayers, my inner stillness, a sacred union with my Creator, and a moment of serenity. It is the refuge I turn to when I am weary. What exhausts a person is not the abundance of work, but living without love. Because I approach both fields with love, I do not grow weary.

— You are the author of books dedicated to the activities of President Ilham Aliyev. What do these works mean to you?

— These books were not written with political ambition. They are the heartfelt admiration and gratitude of a citizen who remains loyal to their state and statehood like a soldier.

Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, we have lived through the most difficult, yet also the proudest periods of Azerbaijan’s history. The liberation of Karabakh, the restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty, and the strength of our army have left an indelible mark on the heart of every Azerbaijani.

When writing these books, I was not merely an author, but an intellectual Azerbaijani woman living through this history.

— What emotions do you experience when representing Azerbaijan abroad?

— Every time I speak under the Azerbaijani flag, I feel a deep sense of responsibility. Because there, I represent not only myself, but my people, my culture, and the dignity of our women.

My greatest joy is that both my words and my work are met with respect. This encourages one to work even harder.

— You have always praised the services of Mehriban Aliyeva, and this holds a special place in your creativity. How would you evaluate her activities as a creative individual?

— For me, Mehriban Aliyeva embodies the unity of elegance and strength, compassion and statesmanship.

Her activities are founded upon humanism, culture, and the preservation of national identity.

Mehriban Aliyeva is a dignified Turkic Lady who stands behind our Commander who writes history, supporting him with her presence at every challenging moment and crucial step.

Dedication to the homeland and the people, active involvement in the dynamic development of modern Azerbaijan, contributions to solving social issues, loyalty to national and spiritual values, boundless benevolence, mercy, and compassion form the core of Mehriban Aliyeva’s life philosophy. She also makes invaluable contributions to the development of education, culture, and healthcare in our country, tirelessly working to defend national interests on the international stage and to promote intercultural and inter-civilizational dialogue.

As the author of numerous projects aimed at improving social welfare, Mehriban Aliyeva carries the title of First Lady with honor and presents the world with a dignified image of the modern Azerbaijani woman.

— As the Chairwoman of the Turkic World Women Poets’ Union, what is your main objective?

— Strengthening literary and cultural solidarity within the Turkic world, preserving shared values, and passing them on to future generations is today not only a creative endeavor, but also an important mission requiring moral responsibility.

From this perspective, the establishment of the Turkic World Women Poets’ Union should be regarded as the beginning of a new and significant phase in the literary life of the Turkic world.

In the coming period, the Union has identified key priorities such as implementing large-scale literary projects across Turkic states, preparing joint anthologies, creating creative platforms for young women poets, and expanding international cooperation.

To ensure systematic and coordinated activities across a wide geographical area, deputy chairpersons have been appointed for various countries.

These appointments are of great importance in coordinating literary and cultural activities of women poets across different regions of the Turkic world, implementing joint projects, and strengthening the spirit of unity.

Our goal is to present the female voice, maternal spirit, and poetic thought of the Turkic world more clearly and effectively within the global cultural space. We are confident that this Union will continue to function as an important literary platform serving the strengthening of literary and cultural ties among Turkic peoples, deepening friendship and solidarity, and contributing to the shared future of the Turkic world.

The Turkic world is a great family.

Bringing together women writers of this family and making their voices heard is an honor for me.

We aim to keep our shared spirit alive through joint literary projects, festivals, and anthologies, and to illuminate the path for young women writers.

The word of the Turkic woman is powerful. We seek to unite that word.

— Looking back on 60 years of life, what remains most vivid in your memory?

— Life is a book.

Every page contains both joy and trial.

What remains most vividly in my memory are the honesty I inherited from my family, the moments when I was able to be of benefit to people, and the times when the words I wrote found their way into the hearts of readers.
